Background
Nextor is a multi-vendor automotive parts marketplace designed for the Middle East market, primarily focused on the UAE. The platform simplifies how buyers search for and purchase automotive spare parts from multiple vendors in one place.
The client aimed to create a centralized digital ecosystem for car owners, truck fleet managers, and marine equipment operators. The marketplace supports multiple categories, including car parts, truck parts, marine parts, tires, and consumables.
One of the biggest challenges in the regional automotive parts market was the fragmented purchasing process. Buyers often had to contact multiple suppliers manually and still struggled to verify whether parts matched their vehicle configuration, leading to wrong purchases, returns, and low buyer confidence.
At the same time, vendors lacked scalable digital sales tools and often managed inventories manually in spreadsheets, making large-scale product management inefficient.
The client requested a fully custom multi-vendor B2C/B2B SaaS marketplace with dedicated buyer, vendor, and admin portals, intelligent vehicle compatibility filtering, scalable inventory management, multi-carrier shipping, and secure payment processing.

Multi-vendor marketplace platform

One of the core features of the marketplace is vehicle-specific compatibility filtering powered by TecDoc integration. Buyers can select vehicle make, model, year, and engine configuration to view only compatible parts.The platform also supports VIN decoding and compatibility matching, helping reduce incorrect purchases and improving customer confidence.
Bulk inventory import and vendor onboarding
To simplify onboarding for suppliers with large inventories, the platform includes bulk Excel and CSV import functionality with validation and error reporting.Background job processing powered by Sidekiq handles large imports asynchronously, while vendors can monitor import status and retry failed uploads directly in the interface.
Elasticsearch-powered product discovery
The marketplace includes advanced Elasticsearch-powered search and filtering, enabling buyers to quickly find products using autocomplete, category filters, brand filters, and attribute-based filtering.The search architecture was designed with scalability and future localization in mind, including support for multilingual indexing and expansion to Arabic content in later stages.
Multi-carrier shipping management
The platform integrates Carriyo and Tawzea to provide real-time shipping rates, shipment tracking, and shipping label generation.Webhook-based synchronization combined with Sidekiq background processing ensures reliable shipping updates and order tracking.
TAP Payment integration and vendor KYC onboarding
The marketplace integrates TAP Payment to support secure online payments and marketplace transactions across the UAE and the broader Middle East region.To ensure compliance and marketplace trust, the platform includes a vendor KYC onboarding workflow where suppliers submit verification documents and business information before gaining access to marketplace features and payouts.The onboarding process is managed through the admin back-office, allowing administrators to review applications, approve vendors, and monitor verification statuses efficiently.
Localization-ready architecture
The platform was built with future Middle East expansion in mind, using I18n and React Intl as the foundation for multilingual support.The Material-UI-based design system was prepared for future Arabic RTL implementation, including mirrored layouts, localized forms, and regional formatting support.
Vendor self-service portal
The vendor portal allows suppliers to manage listings, upload inventory, process incoming orders, generate shipping labels, and track payouts.The solution also supports tire-specific import workflows and bulk listing approvals.
Admin back-office and moderation workflows
An admin back-office built with ActiveAdmin enables marketplace moderation, KYC approvals, listing verification, payout management, and operational monitoring.The platform also includes audit trails and role-based permissions to support compliance and marketplace transparency.
